About

This is Dying of the Light, a cozy horror modpack designed by Katu, the maker of the Cottage Witch series of modpacks. Katu is a disabled artist who loves cats, cute things, cozy gaming... and also spooky stuff. This modpack is inspired by her love for Dredge and Strange Horticulture, as well as, obviously, Minecraft.Dying of the Light released in October 2024, and is meant to be an eerie, atmospheric modpack with a definite beginning and end, with a bittersweet story to guide you through the experience. It is made for Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1.

The quests in this pack are designed with two objectives in mind:To introduce you to new mechanics, in conjunction with the Patchouli guidebook, and t
o help you progress through the story of the modpack.However, they also provide optional bonus challenges to fill your downtime, and even include a player shop where you can buy spawn eggs and survival supplies!
